Horsens SF
Horsens SF/IK Horsens was an ice hockey team in Horsens, Denmark. The club was found in the 1940s and operated until 1979. They participated in the Jütland Regional Tournament during the 1950s and attempted, but never managed, to qualify for the Danish National Championship.
They spent much of the 1960s and early 1970s playing in the 2. division, yet never succeeded in being promoted to the top tier. After relegation in 1971, they won the Jütland Regional Tournament in 1972 and 1973, but declined promotion back to the second tier. The club wound down operations in 1974, and made its final appearance in 1977, losing 29-14 to Odense over two games in qualifying for the JIU Cup.[1] Horsens SF played out of a natural ice rink for the duration of their existence.
