Harbin is a Chinese ice hockey team based in the city of the same name. The club was founded in 1954.

History

They play in the Chinese National Championship and are, along with Qiqihar, one of the most successful teams in the country.

The team joined the Asia League Ice Hockey for the 2004-05 season, as did Qiqihar, while also retaining a squad in the domestic Chinese competition.

The Asia League squad changed its name to Hosa and relocated primarily to Beijing for the 2006-07 season, though they still played some games in Harbin. The Chinese Championship team was unaffected by this development.

For the 2007-08 season, a merger between Hosa and the Qiqihar Asia-League squad Chungchun Fuao created the China Sharks, now known as the China Dragon. This single team competes in the Asia League while independent Harbin and Qiqihar sides take part in the national championship.
