History

HC Courmaosta debuted in the Serie A during the 1993-94 season, and enjoyed a relative amount of success during that year and in 1994-95, reaching the semifinals on both occasions. The club did not participate in the league during the 1995-96 season, due to a protest. They also played in the Alpenliga during the 1993-94 season, taking ninth place. Courmaosta competed in the 1994 Six Nations Tournament, winning the Alpine League before finishing third in Group B of the final tournament.

The club became known as the Devils Courmaosta prior to the 1996-97 season. The Devils had previously been located in Milan under the namesake HC Devils Milano. They played three seasons (1996-97, 1997-98 and 1998-99) in the Serie A under this name, finishing in fourth, 10th and ninth place respectively. They also took part in the Alpenliga during the 1998-99 season, finishing in 16th and last place. The highlight of their run was a Coppa Italia victory in 1998.
