Glasgow Lions

The Glasgow Lions were an ice hockey team based in Glasgow, Scotland. Crossmyloof Ice Rink was their home arena.

The Lions were hastily established prior to the 1935-36 season, in order to ensure the participation of a fifth team in the Scottish National League. Their first season in the league was disastrous, as the club only managed a single tie in 15 games played.

They fared marginally better over the next two seasons, but still finished well below .500 on both occasions. The Lions did however claim the Mitchell Trophy, Scotland's national cup competition, in 1937 and 1938.

The club folded after the 1937-38 season. The inception of semi-professionalism in the Scottish National League was one of the main factors in their demise.
