The Coleraine Jet Centre was an ice rink in Coleraine, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It opened in August 1990 and had a total capacity of about 500 spectators. The rink closed in February 2000. The Fuel Services Oilers and Lagan Valley Lions played a challenge match at the rink on February 11, 1991

The Coleraine Jets were active from 1991-2000, playing in the Carlsberg Recreational League in 1992. In their first game on May 19, 1991, the Belfast Selects beat Coleraine 7-3. They were set to play Dublin on May 26 at Dundonald for their first official match.[1] In the early 1990s, the Jets faced an All-Ireland Select team at the rink, in a game filmed by BBC Northern Ireland. The Jets tied the Belfast Panthers 4-4 in a friendly on January 18, 1992. The series between the teams was even, the Panthers having beaten the Jets 26-1 in their first meeting, with the Jets getting revenge, 6-4, in their second.[2]

They Jets set to host a tournament on May 13-14, 1992, featuring invited teams from all over Ireland, competing for the Jet Centre Shield.[3] On November 23, 1994, the Jet Centre hosted a game between the Jets and the Dublin Flyers, filmed by "The Grip", a program for young people.[4] In 1995 Coleraine was set to face the Belfast Under 20s on January 25.[5] They lost to the Dublin Flyers 7-5 on February 25 and 6-3 on the 26th.[6] In 1996 the Coleraine Junior Ice Hockey League was contested at the Jet Centre. The Flames won the championship.[7] The Coleraine Jets beat the Dublin Flyers 4-2 on May 19.[8] The Tigers finished ahead of the Flames for the 1997 junior league title.[9] On November 15-16, 1997, the 3rd US Air Force thumped the Coleraine Jets 10-3 and 10-5.[10] The Perth Panthers crushed the Jets 14-2 on November 29.[11] On December 13, Coleraine staged a "magnificent comeback" to beat the Dublin Flyers.[12]

The Lancaster Canucks of Ontario beat the Dublin Flyers 2-0 in the final of the Coleraine Invitational Ice Hockey Tournament on February 21, 1998. The Coleraine Jets finished third with a 3-0 win over English Recreation champions Cleveland Comets.[13] In April, two Coleraine youth teams beat their Dublin counterparts. The Cobras (U13) and Tornadoes (U17) both won 4-0 over Dublin.[14] The Jets played in the Florida World Cup Ice Hockey Tournament in Fort Lauderdale, falling 13-1 to the St. Paul North West Flyers, 7-2 to the Vancouver Penguins and 3-0 to the Vienna Lauda Air IHC.[15] On October 17, the Coleraine U15 team blanked Dublin 5-0, while the U19 squad fell 4-2 to the same city.[16] The Dublin Flyers beat the Coleraine Jets 8-0 and 12-1 on November 7-8.[17] Dublin Flyers beat Coleraine 13-11 in a U12 game on June 5, 1999.[18] The Jets were set to take on a selection of players from the Castlereagh Knights at the Jet Centre on June 30.[19] Coleraine was also slated to face the Altrincham Jets on November 13.[20] The Jets played the Dublin Flyers on February 12-13, 2000.[21] The following weekend, Coleraine beat the 3rd US Air Force team 5-3, and the Dublin Flyers also recorded a win over the Americans.[22] The Jets also played in the Irish Championship in 1999-2000.

Following the closure of the Jet Centre, the Jets trained at the Dundonald Ice Bowl, and were set to play the UK Warbirds (US Air Force team), Peterborough Phoenix, and the Peterborough Selects in Peterborough on October 14-15, 2000.[23] The Bannside Raiders (Coleraine) beat the Castlereagh Jr. Knights 6-3 at Dundonald on January 20, 2001.[24]
