Bulgarian Hockey League - Group B
The Group B of the Bulgarian Hockey League was supposedly contested as the second level of ice hockey in Bulgaria from 1975-1990. Earlier on, a Group B championship is confirmed to have taken place from 1958-1965.
It must be noted that, much as with the early Bulgarian Championships, no contemporary sources have been found to substantiate the Group B competition taking place after 1975. The Bulgarian sports newspaper Народен спорт was reviewed for all years, as were other titles such as Работничьеско Дело and Труд, with no references being made to a second-level championship.
It is possible the competition was staged, and not reported on in the aforementioned titles, but until a source can be found to offer proof, there should be some doubt around it. Two of the teams that were said to have competed in Group B play, Levski Elin Pelin and Khimik Stara Zagora, are confirmed to have played in various Bulgarian junior competitions in this time-frame.
