Alexandru "Sandy" Botez (born 1908) was a Romanian ice hockey player. He started his career playing in Austria for Klagenfurter AC during the 1925-26 season. Botez later returned to his native Romania, joining Hockey Club Roman Bucharest for 1927-28.

Botez was a key figure in Romanian hockey, both in national and international play. He was a top player on the Romanian National Team, who he played for at the World Championships on six occasions (1931, 1933, 1934, 1935, 1937, 1938) and at the 1932 European Championship.

On the domestic front, he was one of the co-founders of Telefon Club Bucharest, along with Riri Aslan, who convinced Bobby Tucker of the telephone company to form the team. Botez was later the captain of Juventus Bucharest.

He was also a referee and sometimes played right wing, although his main position was center. Botez was also a skilled tennis player.
