The 2023 IIHF Women's World Championship Division I comprised two international ice hockey tournaments of the 2023 Women's Ice Hockey World Championships organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).

The Group A tournament was scheduled to be played in Shenzhen, China from 11 to 17 April, but in March 2023 it was postponed.[1] On 22 March, it was rescheduled between 20 and 26 August 2023.[2] Group B played in Suwon, South Korea, from 17 to 23 April 2023.[3]

China and Denmark gained promotion to the top division, while Slovakia was relegated from the Group A tournament.[4][5] South Korea won the Group B tournament and got promoted, while Kazakhstan were relegated.[6]
