2022 World Junior A Challenge

The 2022 World Junior A Challenge is an international Junior A tournament held in Cornwall, Ontario at the Cornwall Civic Complex from December 11 to 18, 2022.

The tournament is comprised of five teams and they play a single round robin followed by the top four teams advancing to the semifinal round with the semifinal winners meeting for the gold medal and the semifinal losers meeting for bronze medal.

December 11th

  • Canada East defeated Latvia 3-1
  • Canada West defeated USA 5-3

December 12th

  • Latvia defeated Sweden 3-2 (ot)
  • Canada West defeated Canada East 6-3

December 13th

  • USA defeated Sweden 3-0

December 14th

  • Canada West defeated Latvia 10-0
  • United States defeated Canada East 7-2

December 15th

  • Sweden defeated Canada West 5-3

December 16th

  • USA defeated Latvia 9-0
  • Sweden defeated Canada East 4-1

The United States won its' 9th World Junior A Challenge. Cole Knuble of the United States was named tournament Most Valuable Player.
