2013-14 Macedonian Championship
The 2013-14 Macedonian Championship (also called the State Championship of Macedonia) was organized by the Macedonian Ice Hockey Federation. The first three rounds of the championship were played from February 7-9, 2014.[1]
The fourth-sixth rounds were scheduled to take place from February 28-March 2, 2014, but no records of these games taking place exists. A quote from the Hockey Macedonia website ("Hockey season in Macedonia has been completed, by the warm weather and technical problems. Because it will take place the first Cup of Macedonia, which was scheduled for this weekend, and that was to perform both Skopje clubs Metalurg and Vardar. As guests were invited from Serbia Spartak Subotica, Bulgaria Red Star Sofia, Greece Iraklis Thessaloniki and Istanbul, Turkey. Will not play and the other two tournaments for the first championship of Macedonia.") appears to indicate that the competition was not completed.[2]
The IIHF recognizes Metalurg Skopje, who was first in the table after three rounds, as being 2014 Macedonian champions.[3] However, it was later stated that the 2014-15 season was the first time a Macedonian Championship was played, likely referring to the first completed championship.[4]
