The 1970–71 Eredivisie season was the 11th season of the Eredivisie, the top level of ice hockey in the Netherlands. Five teams participated in the league, and the Tilburg Trappers won the championship.

The Smoke Eaters Geleen finished first, tied with Tilburg, but the title was awarded to Tilburg due to the Smoke Eaters Geleen using more foreign players than was allowed.

The Tilburg Trappers were Dutch champions in a large part due to the talent of their Czechoslovak exiles who arrived after the 1968 Prague Spring. The players competed under assumed names to avoid attracting the attention of the Czechoslovak authorities. Defenceman Jiri Peternousek (aka George Peeters) was the best of the three. His fellow countryman, Jaroslav Tuma, assumed the alias of Jerry Toemen. Another player, Vaclav Tuma, who arrived a year later, was denoted as "W. Toemen" in official statistics.

Rotterdam, which has no indoor rink, lost three of their four home matches on forfeit because it was unable to organize them.
