The 1960 Catalonian Championship was scheduled to be played in Nuria on February 20 and 21, 1960. Due to heavy snowfall covering the Pista de Hielo and subsequent freezing temperatures, the ice hockey tournament was unable to be played on those days.

It was planned to reschedule the competition for February 27 and 28, as an extension of the ninth Spanish Winter Games, but no records indicate the tournament was carried out. There were several exhibition hockey matches played during the 1960 season.

Catalonian Championship

Club Alpino Nuria was set to face Agrupación de Exalunos de Puigcerdá for the Catalonian Championship. The first game was scheduled for 11:30 on the 20th, while the final was slotted in at 11:00 on the following morning.

Friendly matches

In what was described as "a game that can be considered as a rematch of the last season of the Catalonian Championship", Puigcerda defeated Nuria by a dominant 12-2 margin. It was the first game of the season for Nuria and they had not been able to train sufficiently.

There was also a game played between the Escuelas Pias and Agrupación de Exalumnos de Puigcerdá in 1960. It was won 5-3 by the former side.
