This was the 1957-58 Swiss 1. Liga season, the third level of ice hockey in Switzerland:

Regular season

Group 1

Won by EHC Chur.

Group 2

Won by Niederurnen.

Group 3

Won by SC Lugano.

  • Veltheim - Effretikon 4:2 - relegation game
Group 4

Won by SC Kusnacht, EHC Basel II finished second.

Group 5

Rotblau Bern and EHC Bumpliz tied for first; Rotblau won the tiebreaker.

Group 6

Won by HC Saint-Imier.

  • Tramelan - Reuchenette 6:2 - relegation game
