The 1956-57 Polish 3. Liga season was divided into multiple regional groups, with the top teams advancing to the promotion round to the Polish 2. Liga.

Silesian Group

  1. Górnik 09 Mysłowice - advanced to promotion round - 24 pts
  2. Stal Sosnowiec - advanced to promotion round - 19 pts
  3. Polonia Bytom - 18 pts
  4. Lechia 06 Mysłowice - 16 pts
  5. Lechia Kobiór - 12 pts
  6. Sparta Łaziska Górne - 11 pts (did not play their final two games due to lack of ice
  7. Stal Czechowice - relegated - 4 pts
  8. Górnik Zabrze - relegated - 2 pts

Rzeszow Group

The championship was divided into three groups. Group I: Resovia, Stal Mielec, Czuwaj Przemyśl, Group II: Włókniarz Krosno, Stal Rzeszów, Glinik Gorlice, Group III: Stal Stalowa Wola, Górnik Krosno, Sanoczanka Sanok.

Resovia, Stal Rzeszow, and Stal Stalowa Wola won their groups and advanced to the final tournament. The season was not completed due to weather conditions. Stal Rzeszow was decided to be the best team and was selected to compete in the promotion round to the Polish 2. Liga, but the team's board did not agree to play in it.
