This is the 1947-48 season of the Michigan-Ontario-Wisconsin League:

The Indians were based in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and the Greyhounds were based in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. But both teams played out of Pullar Stadium in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan as the Gouin Street Arena was no longer usable for hockey and the Sault Memorial Gardens did not open until in February 1949.

The Greyhounds entered the 1947-48 Northern Ontario Senior Playoffs.
