The 1942 German Ice Hockey Championship was the 26th season of the German Ice Hockey Championship, the national championship of Germany. 12 teams participated in the first round. The championship was abandoned after the first round, and no champion was declared.
It was also the third German War Championship (Kriegsmeisterschaft). A Kriegsspielgemeinschaften (KSG) was formed between VfK Königsberg and Rastenburger SV this season.

Final round
The events of the war prevented the proper completion of the championship. SC Riessersee and Wiener EG withdrew their squads due to a shortage of players, and the intended final between Mannheimer ERC and LTTC Rot-Weiß Berlin at the Berliner Sportpalast was cancelled - as Joseph Goebbels was giving his "total war" speech at the venue.
