The 1942-43 OB I bajnokság season was the seventh season of the OB I bajnokság, the top level of ice hockey in Hungary. Four teams participated in the final round, and BBTE Budapest won the championship.

- BBTE Budapest and BKE Budapest qualified for final round, Ferencvárosi TC failed to qualify. BKE won the regional championship with a better goal differential than BBTE.

Five teams from Budapest participated in the second-level OB II competition - MAC, BKE II, BEAC, FTC II, WMTK. Not all games were played. It was planned to complete the remainder of the schedule at the start of the 1943-44 season.[12]
