The 1941-42 OB I bajnokság season was the sixth season of the OB I bajnokság, the top level of ice hockey in Hungary. BKE Budapest won the championship.

The third match was staged in Budapest as a replay of the previous game that was disrupted when MSE was ahead 2:0. It was originally ruled that the disruption was CsTE's fault and MSE was named champion, but after an appeal it was ruled that the match should be replayed.

Csíkszeredai TE qualified for the final round.

Kolozsvár Group

Won by Kolozsvári KE.

Northern Group

Kassai AC withdrew from the championship.

Won by Kassai VSC. There was some controversy in the competition. After KAC withdrew from the tournament, some of its players went to Rákóczi and the others joined VSC. However, they did not have the right to do so, according to the rules of the competition, players could only switch clubs until November 15.[6]
