The Loyola Lions, UCLA Bruins, Occidental Tigers, Los Angeles Junior College Cubs, and USC Trojans all fielded ice hockey teams this winter. Loyola won the Southern California Intercollegiate League title for the second year in a row. In late March, it was noted that Occidental had lost 25 consecutive games over the past three years. California and Stanford did not have hockey teams in 1935-36.
