Final
The match was stopped following a brawl that ensued after American goalkeeper Gerry Cosby struck Canadian Kenny Kane. The spectators at the Berliner Sportpalast were stunned by the brawl and littered the ice with debris to express their disapproval. The players wanted to resume the match after tempers settled down, but given the hostile crowd, it was deemed prudent to leave it unfinished.
Two days later, the match was re-played. The players were on their best behavior and no incidents occurred in this game.
