Background

This was the first time that a Canadian team based in Canada toured Europe.

Previously the Winnipeg Falcons had won the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, Belgium but they had not played any exhibition games. The Toronto Granites had won the 1924 Winter Olympics but also had not played any exhibitions.

Teams made up of Canadians, usually students from Oxford University or Cambridge University, had been playing in Europe for years.

Team

The Montreal Victorias were a senior team in Montreal, Quebec.

The Victorias had played in the Quebec Senior Group and left before the season ended to play in this tour.
