Match details

This match was played at the City Park ice rink in Budapest and was part of the Csaky Prize tournament.

BKE was weakened as one of their better defensemen, Oláh Aladárt, was unable to play. Bela von Kehrling scored first for BKE in the 26th minutes and two minutes later P. Krempels gave the home team a 2-0 lead going into halftime.

Leipzig started strong in the second half, with Heinrich Schomburgk scoring in the second and 13th minutes to even the score at two-apiece. Dr. Lazor gave BKE the lead again in the 29th minute, but Dr. Hagens scored for Leipzig eight minutes later to knot the game at 3-3.

The match ended in a tie and BKE won the Csaky Prize as they finished with a better goal differential overall in the tournament (13-4) than Leipzig.
