For the 1921-22 season, the Manitoba Hockey Association had the winners of the Manitoba Senior Hockey League and the Winnipeg Senior Hockey League playoff for the Senior Championship, with the winner meeting the Intermediate champions.

Elimination Series

Before the season started there were four teams wishing enter this league. There was only enough ice time available for a three-team league. A three game elimination series was played before the season started to eliminate one of the applicants. The losers of the first two games would play off with the loser being eliminated from the league.

Elimination Series

The Canadian Amateur Hockey Association demanded Brandon playoff with the University of Manitoba, winner of the Western Canadian Intercollegiate Athletic Union. The MAHA called off the game with the Intermediates.
