The Winnipeg Patriotic Intermediate League and was contested in Manitoba in 1916-17:

Teams: Union Canadiennes, Monarchs, Victorias, Varsity

  • 1/22: Victorias - Monarchs 5:2
  • 1/30: Victorias - Union Canadiennes 9:6

Varsity dropped out of the league and were replaced by Selkirk. A new playing schedule was drawn up.

  • 2/17: Union Canadiennes - Selkirk
  • 2/19: Selkirk - Monarchs postponed

  • 2/28: Monarchs - Selkirk
  • 3/2: Monarchs - Union Canadiennes

Final
  • 3/22: Selkirk - Victorias 7:0 - result was annulled as Selkirk used an ineligible player
  • 3/24: Victorias - Selkirk not played

Selkirk refused to abide by the decision the league made in annulling the first game, so the second game was not played. The championship was ruled void for this season.
