The Western Canada Hockey Association season (formerly the Winnipeg Intermediate League) and the Manitoba Independent Hockey League both featured intermediate leagues in 1911-12.

St. Matthew's won the championship and earned the right to challenge the Victorias for intermediate honors. It appears this match did not materialize.
