A letter was written to the Sporting Editor of the Free Press.

"Sir,-The Hanson cup, donated by S. Hanson about three years ago to be played for by Icelandic teams only, has been won for the past two years by the I.A.C. club. The rules governing the cup were that the club winning out three years in succession were to become permanent holders of said cup. The Vikings, who being the only other team that has contested for this cup, won the series this year, but the last match was protested. Now the trustees have not notified the Vikings as to what proceedings they were taking in the matter and I would ask you to kindly give your opinion as to who should possess the cup this year." "Ans.-It certainly seems up to the trustees to give a decision if the protested game had a bearing on the series. Otherwise the Vikings should hold the cup for a year."-Sporting Editor
