This is the group play of the 1900-01 season of the Ontario Hockey Association's intermediate series:


Group 1

(Only 3 teams)

Semi Final

Final

Group 2 was reorganized after the removal of Belleville and the withdrawal of Cobourg. The three remaining teams played off, the winner of Peterborough-Lindsay facing Port Hope for the group title.

  • 1/28: Peterborough 8 Lindsay 3

Peterborough beat Lindsay 13 goals to 6.

Final

  • 2/1: Peterborough 5 Port Hope 3
  • 2/8: Port Hope 4 Peterborough 2

The deciding game was to be played in Port Hope's new arena. Peterborough refused to play there, Port Hope, alone on the ice, scored 3 goals into an empty net to win the series.

The Ontario Hockey Association nullified the entire series and ordered a new final.
