This was the 1896 ice hockey season in British Columbia:

Details

On December 21, 1895, The Golden Era newspaper reported that the rink in the town had opened for the season and that the hockey players planned to organize a club once again. It was also said that the Calgary boys would be "delighted to meet them".

There were no organized games reported, although it is possible that activities took place in Golden as well as Sandon. Newspaper records from Sandon for the winter of 1896 are unavailable.
