There were plans for Moncton to play a return match against the Bicycle Club in Saint John, but it did not materialize.
Moncton: "All those interested in the organization of a hockey club are requested to meet at the office of Dr. McCuily at 19.30 this evening [Dec. 21]. The manager of the new rink has made a liberal offer in the matter of matches with outside teams, and allowing the use of the ice for practice."[4] The Moncton Hockey Club was formed at the meeting, with the following officers: J.A. McDonald (captain), Ned Harris (Secretary-Treasurer). The costume adopted was to be a blue jersey and blue pants.[5] The Moncton Hockey club held a practice game on January 12.[6] They held another on the 15th. Team 1: G. Ackman (goal), Jack Harris (point), E. Hagerty (cover point), E. Harris, J. Humphrey, I. Malcolm (forwards). Team 2: H. Keswick (goal), T.W.B. Moore (point), J.A. McDonald (cover point), M. Condon, M. Ayer, E. Embree (forwards).[7] On January 23, a game at the Metropolitan rink between two local teams, captained by J.A. McDonald and E. Harris, respectively, ended in a 1-1 tie.[8] Another practice game was held on February 12. Team 1: E. Embree (goal), F.W. Moore (point), Jack Harris (cover point), J.A. MacDonald (captain), J. Humphrey, E. Harris, M. Condon (forwards). Team 2: G. Ackman (goal), G.L. Harris (point(, G. Croasdale (cover point), H. Keswick A. Jones, M. Ayer, W. Bruce (forwards).[9]
Nova Scotia
Rough and Ready club captain Harry Young issued a challenge on behalf of the team to the Arundels to a friendly game in the Dartmouth rink on January 12.[10]

The Saint John Progress reported that the Dartmouth Chebuctos beat the Halifax Crescents, and Halifax North West Arm defeated the Halifax Wanderers on February 16. Wanderers roster: Henry, Clarke, Grierson, Wylde, Townsend, Oxley. The Arm-Wanderers game was noted to have been played under the rules used in the upper Canadian provinces.[18]

- Halifax County Hockey League
The Halifax County Hockey League was formed on December 20, 1893. "The sub-committee of the Wanderers on Hockey having the subject under consideration, took the initiative in calling a meeting last night of representatives of the following clubs-Wanderers, Dalhousie, Crescents, Chebuctos, and Bankers' Hockey league. Each of these clubs had representatives present last night. The league was officially constituted, and a sub-committee was appointed to draw up a constitution and to report to a future meeting, when officials will be elected."[29]
