The 1958-59 Kazakh SSR Championship was contested by four teams, and saw Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk win the championship. Torpedo, SKIF Alma-Ata, Guryev, and Akmola competed.
The championship began in Ust-Kamenogorsk on January 16, 1959, with Torpedo defeating SKIF 4:2 (1:1, 2:0, 1:1). They then went on to beat Guryev 11:3 and Akmola 24:1, with SKIF also routing those two sides by large margins. Guryev also blasted Akmola 12:2 to wrap up the first round.
The second round commenced with Torpedo again beating SKIF, 5:3. Ust-Kamenogorsk then crushed Guryev and Akmola for a second time, to wrap up the title.
