The [[National Association of Hockey on Ice and Inline]] is the governing body of ice and inline hockey in Chile. The country joined the [[IIHF]] in 2000.<ref>[http://www.iihf.com/iihf-home/countries/chile/ Chile - IIHF.com]</ref>

There are rumors that ice hockey was played in the harbor city of Valparaiso as early as the 1970s. Recreational ice rinks exist in Santiago, but there is no ice hockey played in the capital.
