This league ran for one season (1925-26) in the provinces of [[Manitoba]] and [[Ontario]] and the state of Minnesota. It was a senior league.

The American teams were what remained from the [[United States Amateur Hockey Association]]. The eastern teams had dropped out because of [[National Hockey League]] expansion to Boston and Pittsburgh.

In 1926-27 this league became the professional [[American Hockey Association]].
