Știința Cluj was the name of the Universitatea Cluj sports club from 1946 to 1966. After which, the club's name reverted back to Universitatea Cluj.

Știința fielded an ice hockey team in the Romanian Hockey League from 1950 to 1966. The club won the national championship in 1954.
