Junior hockey in Romania presently consists of leagues ranging from age 10 and under to U20. They are organized by the Romanian Ice Hockey Federation.
Most teams are members of a senior club by the same name. The junior competitions at all age levels have been dominated by SC Miercurea Ciuc in recent years.
In 2010-11 a Moldovan club, Platina Chișinău, won the U18 Championship. The U10 and U12 competitions are called "Copii" (children), while the U14 division is called "Sperante" (hopes). A national championship is currently contested in the U16 and older age groups.
