Final

The final was not played as the teams were unable to come to an agreement on the format. Hawkesbury wanted to play a single game in Ottawa, while Renfrew desired to play home and home games. Hawkesbury claimed the Ottawa Citizen Shield, though it appears it was not formally awarded in 1917.
