The Moskitos Essen (Essen Mosquitos) is a team in Essen, Germany. They play in the Oberliga, the third tier of German ice hockey.
Hockey history in Essen goes back to 1935. The RSC Essen, ERV Essen, and EHC Essen played in the lower German hockey leagues until 1994.
In 1994 the Moskitos became the city's team. They competed in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) from 1999–2000 until the 2001–02 when they lost their license due to insolvency. After this the team played in the 2.Bundesliga, and now play in the Oberliga Nord.
