This is the 1924-25 Maritimes Senior Playoffs. They decided the regional champions. Since the teams were not affiliated with the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association they were not eligible for the Allan Cup.

Dalhousie University refused to advance to the 1924-25 Maritimes Senior Playoffs, saying that its students could not take time off from their studies. A playoff was then held to determine a league representative.

As of 2/11 No. 11 was in first, and No. 6 and Caledonia were tied for second. On 3/14 it was reported that No. 6 and No. 11 were tied for first, and that league officials had decided to add three more games to the schedule. Only one of which, between No. 6 and No. 2, was played, and won by the former. No. 6 went on to play for the Cape Breton title, which No. 11 claimed they had no right to do. No. 11 had won the league championship in 1924.
