2020 O pohár RT TORAX
2020 O pohár RT TORAX was the 9th edition of this tournament held every pre-season by HC Poruba. Games of the basic part were played in July 30 - September 8. The final day should have took place in September 3
As of July 29, 2020, some players of the LHK Jestřábi Prostějov were tested positive for COVID-19 and the whole team was quarantined for two weeks. Their matches with HC Frýdek-Místek and JKH GKS Jastrzębie were not played and their match with HC Poruba was postponed.
As of August 2, 2020, JKH GKS Jastrzębie resigned from the tournament due to suspected COVID-19 infection of one member of the team. All their matches were not played except the first one which was already played.
As of August 5, 2020, eight players of the HC Poruba were tested positive for COVID-19 and the whole team was quarantined for two weeks. Their matches with LHK Jestřábi Prostějov, HC Frýdek-Místek and VHK ROBE Vsetín were postponed.
As of August 8, 2020, one player of the HC Dukla Jihlava was tested positive for COVID-19 and the whole team was quarantined for two weeks. Their matches with VHK ROBE Vsetín and LHK Jestřábi Prostějov were not played and their match with SK Horácká Slavia Třebíč was postponed.
As of August 26, 2020, the SK Horácká Slavia Třebíč club leadership decided to not play their postponed match with HC Dukla Jihlava to keep their players healthy.
As of September 10, 2020, the 2020 O pohár RT TORAX was ended. One point for each unplayed match was counted into the final standings for every team which played at least 50% of their matches. If the team did not played at least 50% of their matches until September 10, 2020, their amount of points was left just as it was as of September 10, 2020. The final day was canceled and the HC Poruba was named the champion of the 2020 O pohár RT TORAX.
Game format
In 2020 basic part were 7 teams playing round-robin with two exceptions (HC Dukla Jihlava did not play HC Frýdek-Místek and SK Horácká Slavia Třebíč did not play VHK ROBE Vsetín, but HC Dukla Jihlava should have played SK Horácká Slavia Třebíč twice just as HC Frýdek-Místek played twice VHK ROBE Vsetín instead), so every team should have played 6 matches (there should have been total of 21 games).
After the basic part should have come the final day when the teams on 3rd and 4th place after the basic part should have played the match for 3rd place and teams on 1st and 2nd place after the basic part should have played the final.
Some matches should have been played at the neutral zone (in HC Poruba stadium RT TORAX ARENA).
