  • Sudbury - Warren 7:4 - Somers of Warren was intentionally struck in the face and cut with a stick after taking the puck from a Sudbury player, who had played with Sturgeon Falls in prior years, and it was said that back then it was "widely known that the only reason he was on the team was on account of his roughness and brutality, not for his cleverness in skating or handling the puck."[1]
