The 1991-92 Scottish League First Division season was contested by six teams, and saw the Livingston Kings win the championship.

The Tayside Tigers had originally won the league championship with two victories over Livingston in late February. However, they were later deducted four points from two games in which they utilized goaltender Gerry Anderson, who was technically still registered with the Fife Flyers. The Kings thus won the championship by two points.

Tayside was also barred from playing in the qualification playoffs as their rink was set to be demolished at season's end.
