This was the 1890 ice hockey season in the Canadian Maritimes:

Nova Scotia

"A Windsor hockey team will leave that town on Tuesday [2/4] for Halifax, to engage in a series of games with the Chebuctos and Victorias in the Dartmouth rink, and with the Ramblers, Crescents and a selected team in the open. The Windsor team will be composed as follows: Capt. H. Hobart, W. Shaw, J. Lynch, H. Smith, P. Curry, R.L. Sheridan, C. Armstrong, and O. Kirk."[1]

Prince Edward Island

A game was played on February 7, 1890 at the Hillsborough Rink in Charlottetown. It was an intra-squad game made up of members of the Hillsborough Club and ended in an 8-8 tie. Another game was planned for February 28. The players were divided into east and west end sides. The Hillsborough Club also demonstrated the game in Summerside in 1890.
