The Wichita Industrial League was formed in Wichita, Kansas, for the 1946-47 season. Games were played at the Alaskan Ice Palace. It was succeeded by the K.O&M. League for 1953-54.

The Boeing Comets and Beech Flyers played a three game series for the city title.

There were talks of Wichita fielding a team in a Texas Professional League, which was to also have franchises in Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston, but the competition was delayed until 1950-51, and eventually folded without playing a game. The Industrial League featured the same three teams for 1949-50.

The K.O.&M. (Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri) League was established for the 1953-54 season. It featured the Mt. Hope Nurserymen of Wichita, the Tulsa Keystone Freight Liners, and Kansas City Furniture. All games were played at the Alaskan Ice Palace.

The season ended early as the league was unable to negotiate with the Ice Palace to secure ice time for a playoff series. Mt. Hope won the title.
