The 1947 Erewhon Cup was won by Tekapo.

Semifinals
  • 7/27: Tekapo - Mount Harper - game was fast and spectacular
  • 7/27: Opawa - Windwhistle Skating Club - the condition of the ice was deteriorating so this game was much slower
Final
  • 7/27: Tekapo - Opawa - match could not be played as the ice at Mount Harper began to break up rather badly

Tekapo eventually did defeat Opawa to win the Erewhon Cup.
