1950-51 Maakuntasarja season

The 1950-51 Maakuntasarja season was contested as the third tier of Finnish hockey. The league was divided into eight groups, the winners qualifying for promotion to the Suomi-sarja.

Suomi-Sarja Qualification

Before the start of the season, Finnish Workers' Sports Federation teams competed in qualifiers to decide who would compete in the Suomi-sarja. The qualifiers for the Helsinki region were played as a four-team playoff, in which, in addition to Vesa, Helsinki's Jyry, Porvoo Veikot and Käpylän Kunto participated, the latter taking the league place.

Suomi-Sarja Promotion

  • 2/25: Vesa - Kotkan Jäntevä 7:2 (2:1, 3:0, 2:1)

Vesa was promoted. Oulun Luistinseura, Pyynikin Haukat (Tampere), and Turun Palloseura were as well.
