This was the 1934-35 California Hockey League season. Three teams, all based in the Los Angeles area, competed in the league, and the Hollywood Millionaires won the championship. The local newspapers referred to the league as a professional competition, and were rather erratic in reporting the game results.

California and USC in action during Hoover Trophy play in Yosemite.

The California Golden Bears, Loyola Lions, UCLA Bruins, Stanford Cardinal, Occidental Tigers, Los Angeles Junior College Cubs, and USC Trojans all fielded ice hockey teams this winter. Loyola won the Southern California Intercollegiate League title for the first time. USC, which went 10-3 on the season, finished second.
