This was the 1932-33 and ninth season of the California Hockey League.

After Hollywood's withdrawal from the California League, this competition was set up.

The California Golden Bears, Loyola Lions, UCLA Bruins, Los Angeles Junior College, and USC Trojans all fielded ice hockey teams this winter. UCLA went winless on the year.
