The Amateur Athletic Union did not organize a national ice hockey championship in 1936. Some regional tournaments were however played.
Adirondack District

While not an official championship game, the Boston Olympics established a claim to the New England amateur title with a 13-4 win over the Lewiston Cyclones on March 1.
