The 2012 Rio de Janeiro-Sao Paulo Challenge (Desafio RJ x SP) was played at the Barra on Ice in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on April 21 and 22, 2012. The games were played 3-on-3, on the 30x15 m ice surface.

Results

  • Rio de Janeiro - Sao Paulo 10:6
  • Rio de Janeiro - Sao Paulo 3:2

Rio won thanks to the efforts of Allan Ruane from Florida, and Fabian von Schlicher, the former captain and all-time leading scorer of the German club, EHC Munich. Both players were half-Brazilian.
