The British Columbia Amateur Hockey League was established this winter. Greenwood and Camp McKinney both had teams, which were combined and entered the league as the Boundary Hockey Club

The Rossland Victorias won the BC Hockey League Trophy. This was intended to be a continuing trophy for each year's overall champion, but it was only played for once as the league collapsed due to a lack of administration after the 1900 season.
