This was the 1926-27 season in Latvia:

Latvian Championship

New rules were adopted after a meeting of the General Assembly of the Latvian Winter Sports Association. Seven teams voted in favor of introducing the new regulations, while four opposed them. The playing surface was set as 45x90 m, and higher bouncing balls were to be adopted.[1]

A total of 24 teams participated in the Latvian Championship in 1926-27. Klass IA: Riga Rowing Club, Riga Football Club, LSB Riga, LUASB Riga. Klass IB: Union Riga, Army Sports Club, Amateur Riga, Kundzinsala Riga. Klass IC: RKB Riga, Makkabi Riga, Hakoah Riga. Klass II: Riga Rowing Club II, Riga Football Club II, LSB Riga II, LUASB Riga II, Amateur Riga II, Union Riga II, Army Sports Club II, Hakoah Riga II, Makkabi Riga II, Kundzinsala Riga II. Klass III: Riga Rowing Club III, Riga Football Club III, LSB Riga III.

This match was originally going to be played in February 1926.

Klass IIA

  • 12/26: LSB Riga II - Riga Football Club II 3:3 (1:1, 2:2)[3]
Klass IIB
  • 12/26: Union Riga II - Hakoah Riga II 19:0 (8:0, 11:0)[3]
Klass III
  • 12/26: Riga Rowing Club III - LSB Riga III 5:4[3]

SSS Championship

Five teams entered the SSS (Workers) Championship: Rīgas centra A, Rīgas centra B, Rigas pionieru, Ilgeciema, and Tukuma. The games were scheduled to take place between January 9-30.[4]
